Why do we prefer PVC pipes instead of iron pipes?

1.Cost effective- PVC pipes and fittings are cheaper than the iron ones which makes the former more preferable.

2.Easy to fit- This is from the plumbers’ point of view. PVC pipes are easy to fit. One just need to use solvent (a sort of adhesive to join two pipes) and thread tapes to join them. But in case of iron pipes it becomes a mess!

3.Anti-Corrosive in nature- After a point of time, when iron comes in contact with water and air, it starts rusting. Corrosion is one of the main reasons for replacing iron pipes with the plastic ones.

When the iron pipes start rusting, the water running through it is no longer healthy. The water loses its goodness. And there is only one solution to this that is changing the pipes which isn't pocket friendly. Thus, PVC Pipes.
