Silicone tubes are increasingly popular with consumers because of their unique advantages. However, in recent years, the quality of hoses in the silicone tube market has been uneven, in order to help everyone buy quality products. Today, Runte Rubber and Plastics teaches you how to choose a quality silicone tube in a few simple steps.
The first step: the tensile test was carried out by hand pulling out the silicone tube without obvious deformation or elongation, and there was no crack after bending back and forth three times. The silicone tube skin does not have any wrinkles; such a silicone tube is of good quality.
The second step: the flame retardancy test ignites the silicone tube under the open flame, and the natural extinguishment after 5S is good in quality and vice versa.
The third step: bonding strength test The silicone tube to be tested is repeatedly folded 3-5 times at 180 degrees, and then subjected to a withstand voltage test; the degree of deformation of the silicone tube is observed.
Step 4: High temperature resistance test After testing the silicone tube through a tunnel furnace (120 ° C, 45 minutes) for 1-2 m, there should be no appearance defects such as yellow bubbles on the surface, and then the high temperature silicone tube is subjected to a withstand voltage test. Observe if the pressure requirements are met.
Step 5: High-voltage resistance test: The silicone tube to be tested is sampled (the tensile test after the high-temperature welding test), and then the corresponding conductor (copper rod or iron rod) is taken out through the silicone tube to take out the pressure tester. One end of the pressure bar is in contact with the conductor, and the other end is moved back and forth over the silicone tube through which the conductor passes. When the silicone tube ruptures, the pressure gauge sounds an alarm, which is a substandard product, and vice versa.
