Precautions for installing the oil tubing

The oil tubing is a pipeline that transports crude oil from the reservoir to the surface after drilling is completed to withstand the pressure generated during the mining process.

    1. The height of the pump inlet to the tank level should not exceed 0.5m. Consider installing the tank above the pump. A hydraulic pump with poor suction performance, such as a valve fitting plunger pump, has a pressure head that requires a low oil level of the fuel tank to be 0.3 m above the pump centre line to meet normal oil absorption requirements. Clean the pipe once before installation, remove dirt, scale, etc., and rinse the pipe after pickling.

    2. The oil suction pipe should be as short as possible and the inner diameter should not be too small. When the oil inlet pipe is long, the diameter of the oil pipe needs to be increased to avoid the flow resistance being too large to cause insufficient oil absorption, and the inlet flow rate is generally 1 to 2 m/s.
In order to reduce the oil absorption resistance, the elbow on the pipeline should not be too much. Try not to connect the right angle elbow to avoid installing the shut-off valve. If the shut-off valve is required, the diameter of the valve is one to two larger than the recommended suction pipe diameter. File to avoid pumping out due to operational errors.

    3. In order to prevent the vibration of the pump from passing along the pipeline to the system to cause system vibration and noise, a length of hose can be installed in the suction and pressure outlets of the pump. The length should not exceed 600mm. The suction hose should have the strength to avoid the formation of a vacuum in the tube. Make it deformed.
    4. The drain pipe of the pump is used to discharge the oil leaking from the pump back to the tank, and at the same time to cool and drain the wear debris generated during the operation of the pump. The drain pipe should be as short as possible. If it exceeds 2m, the diameter should be increased to ensure that the oil return pressure in the pump casing should not exceed 0.05MPa, so as not to damage the shaft seal of the pump.

    5. The drain pipe of the pump should not be connected with other return pipes of the hydraulic system, so as to prevent the system pressure shock wave from passing into the pump casing, destroying the normal operation of the pump or causing lack of lubricating oil in the pump casing to form dry friction, resulting in burn damage of the friction pair. The pump's drain line should be routed separately into the tank and inserted below the tank level to prevent air from entering the hydraulic system.
